What to do When you Cannot Think of a Good Post
It has been almost a week, but still you cannot think of a good post. You are sitting in front of your PC for hours but your mind seems not to be working hard enough. Although you have something in mind, your sentences are just going around without having the right content you want.
This happens to every blogger, even to the most experienced one and of course, I am not exempted. Just when you thought you have done enough but still a failure, here are some helpful tips that you may not have not tried yet.
Listen to good music
Music makes us relax, no matter how tired you are. Hearing your favorite songs and singing along with it will help you to overcome the pressure. Fast songs can also help even if you are not familiar with it. By simply tapping your feet on the floor or your pen to your keyboard as if it is a drum can somehow cool you down. Although you may not be a music lover, you will be surprised that a nice topic will suddenly come out of your mind.
View other blogs
By reading other posts that are related to your blog can also help. It will give you an idea especially if you have learned a lot from the posts. Reading the comments on good posts can somehow trigger your mind because it will be additional information on your part. Joining a discussion or forum that has your interest is another good idea. Knowing different ideas and concerns of other people will help you wake up. After all, blogging is learning from others.
Take a cool shower
This will not only make you comfortable, but will also refresh your mind from thinking about other things. Being alone sitting on the toilet bowl provides enough silence to ease your mind. Hearing the water from the shower can sound like a water falls from the heart of a beautiful mountain. Feeling the cold water running on your body is like a massage. Thus, it will help you imagine that you are such in a wonderful place where your mind is at peace.
Read your previous posts
By reading your old posts, you will start to realize that you can re-write them in a different way or make a post that is somehow related to them. Reading them all over again will help you bring back to the days when you posted them. You will be able to re-gain your focus because you will feel once more that you really can make good posts. Recall all the inspiration you had when you made those posts and for sure, they will put your feet back in shape again.
Do not force your self
Forcing your self to write about something that you really do not like will end up to an ugly post. Remember that content is king and the future of your blog depends on them. In addition, do not think that it is a lost for you if you cannot write today. You can still make it up to your readers, and telling them that you are sorry for the late post is enough for them to understand you. Anyways, nobody is forcing us to blog everyday.

These are all good suggestions including some I haven’t thought of. Thanks! I really find this site very helpful!
One simple idea is to keep a file of blog ideas. I have more ideas in my file than I can possibly blog on. Many come from books I read.
