Housewives: The Toughest Women ever
Most of the time, when a housewife is being asked what her job is, the answer is – I have no job, I am just a plain housewife. I think we are having the wrong idea that being a plain housewife is really plain because it is not, definitely not. Housewives may think that because I am a man, I do not understand the role of a housewife. On the contrary, please let me enumerate some of my ideas of a job of a housewife. After reading them, I wonder if you could still say that it is a simple job.
1.0 She must be ready for a 24-7 duty, no day-offs, and no salary.
2.0 She must be a very flexible woman who can change easily from being a loving wife to a dedicated mother, and vice versa.
3.0 She must also have multi-tasking abilities like being a cook, teacher, nurse, doctor, sewer, driver, plumber, carpenter, and not to mention the best nanny ever.
4.0 She must also have superb talents in dancing, singing, acting and even weightlifting. Have you watched her carry a baby from time to time?
5.0 She must also “obtain a bachelor’s degree” in Mathematics, Language, Science and even Fine Arts to be able to assist the school kids in their homework.
6.0 She must also have a good memory like knowing where to get this and that when she is being asked, or when needed immediately.
7.0 She must also be good in Cost Accounting to make her husband’s salary enough until the next payday.
8.0 She must also be capable of earning a bit to help her husband in making ends meet.
9.0 She must also have long patience with naughty children and drunken husbands.
10.0 She must also be prepared to do all of the above items while pregnant.
11.0 She must also be good in entertaining visitors from all walks of life, especially monthly ones.
12.0 And most of all, she must be good in sex, birth control and self-defense.
This post serves as a SALUTE to all dedicated housewives especially to the most wonderful of them all, my wife.

I agree with the Math thing – the wives are far better than the hubbies with regards to counting – like how many bills were unpaid and how much the last time, how long it took you to use the bathroom, how many times you went home late the last 12 months, and of course they love multiplication – they have more time even if they do work, they still manage to do all the household chores. Mabuhay mga babae!
By the way Angel, i nominated you for the Influential blogger stuff – bloggers like you should have been on top of the top 10 list.
That is so sweet of you!
Thanks for agreeing with me about the math. It is funny how they do that.
By the way, how and where did you vote for me?
yeah. i certainly agree with all of that…with special mention to item number 10.
