I won a Problogger Book by sharing the Best Blogging Tip

Inspire others, and be useful to them. This is the best strategy so far, even better than search engines and all the social sites you can find.

This is my official entry to Kevin Muldoon’s contest held recently on his Blogging Tips forum, in which the judge was no less than the Problogger himself, Darren Rowse. The contest was quite simple though. Contestants were asked to share his best blogging tip in 140 characters or less.

So what now if I won? Well, the Problogger book may be old to some but still is ageless to me. It was launched last April of this year, with Chris Garrett as the co-author. It has a wide collection of blogging tips of the Problogger, which include the following topics.

How Bloggers Make Money
Direct Income Earning vs. Indirect Income Earning methods
Why Niches are Important
20 Ingredients for a successful blog post
Optimizing advertising

In case you don’t know Darren Rowse, (which I think is almost impossible if you are really serious in blogging) he is a simple guy from Australia who started as a hobby blogger on Nov of 2002 using a blogspot blog. Being so passionate about blogging, he started his Problogger blog back in 2004. He is also the blogger behind Digital Photography School which is very popular and has more than 122,000 subscribers today.

To this date, subscribers of Probloggers are fast rising to 68,000 as he continues to keep his feet on the ground and serves as an inspiration to his fellow bloggers. His commentators are astonishing, whether or not he asks their opinions about interesting blogging topics.

He is among the first bloggers I subscribed to when I started blogging more than a year ago. From then on, I am being inspired with his very useful posts, unselfish tips, and unique style of blogging. I must admit, he has influenced me a lot in the way I create my own blogging tips.

Incidentally, Kevin is also among the humble bloggers I learned about as I continued searching for bloggers that I can get inspiration from. True enough, he was kind enough to allow me to guest post on his blog for four times. They did not only give me decent traffic that time, but also added self-confidence that in spite of being a late bloomer blogger, I can still earn a small space in the blogosphere.

With all of the above mentioned, I am very sure that I was right when I said that inspiring others is still the best blogging strategy ever been discovered.

Thank you very much – Darren Rowse and Kevin Muldoon.

PS. I will be sharing to you what I will learn from the book the moment I receive it, so I hope you watch for it. If you like to purchase one, you can visit Problogger Book.

Don’t worry, I am NOT his affiliate and I will not earn a single cent if you buy it through this link. I believe he did not have one, because he does not need it anyway. His name is more than enough to make it a best seller.

    Hey Angel

Congrats! Both of our entries caught the attention of Darren. Well, I’m not too sure if I’d actually won it eventually as one “unhappy” participant thought that I should be disqualified in the hope that his entry would be chosen…..sadly but true, his was not picked either. LOL….

Your entry was awesome and you certainly deserve it, Angel. All the best!

Uu nga Manuel. I was also searching for that. Wondering if Angel can lend us the book (ssssh, just between us, I don’t want Angel to know about my intention). :-)

Seriously now - I will be looking forward to your article about this book, Angel. Congratulations, idol!

  • Angel Cuala posted: 30 Nov at 1:11 pm

ManuelV - I was dying to buy one when it was released, but I was so broke that time. Funny, but sometimes being broke can be better. It motivates us more.

Bloggista - I don’t intend to lend you this book, but you can rent it for $$$….lol! Seriously, I am now thinking of good ways on how I can share it to everybody.

Blog for Beginners (Yan) - I saw what happened to your entry, but rather would not comment about it here. Let’s hope Darren would choose soon. As I have known him virtually, I can say that he always try to be fair. I hope you already read his open letter to Amazon lately.

To all commentators - Thanks for the congrats. I dedicate this book to all of you, as wonderful comments really inspire me more.

Of course he does, no hard feeling about it……it’s part and parcel of the game. I was on steroid so kinda of “strip off the medal”…..hahahaha. The judges are always fair anyway.

First is my appreciation of Sir Angel’s response to my call for membership in MyLako-EXP - a pro-business social network from Batangas at http://mylako.ning.com/ and in MyLako Global Forum at http://mylako-global.mylako.biz. Now I am reciprocating the goodwill by placing a button for Father Blogger dot Com on my homepage at http://mylako.biz. All these sites that I maintain are barely a month old (I have lots of abandoned ones out there). Even though I’m a published poet and a one-time filmmaker (I haven’t done my next), I haven’t really taken the time to blog. I would have written so many things in the past about the art and many theories of writing, about authors and their books. But my business sense tells me to blog about opportunities, products and services at http://mrpeddler.mylako.biz/. I make sure to monetize all my online activities and all of these are part of it. I must be really craving for lots of money (lol). Lastly, I should say I admire this site’s author for the many relevant articles that are also beautifully written. And to you, please pay me a visit. You know where to find me now. Thanks!

    Father! You’re such a winner!

You raise Pinoy bloggers pride by sharing a not so extra-ordinary blogging tip! Anyways, like what bloggista said, can you find a sneaky way to share some key points content of the book? KIDDIN. LOL. Of course Darren Rowse hates piracy. Ahaha.

How much is the book by the way? I’ll buy it, perhaps.

Charm - I really appreciate your visit here. I’ll try to see you and your family soon. Pls. extend my “kumusta” to them.

Mano - It is my pleasure to join MyLako as I see it as a good opportunity to provide a community for Batangenyo bloggers and business owners. I saw my blog’s widget on your site, and I should thank you for that.

Miguel - I can say you’ll meet good people at Kevin’s Blogging Tips forum. See you there!

Ada - I left a comment on your blog about the price, and it about $27. A very affordable price for a wonderful book.

To the others - Thanks for your comments, and hope you’ll visit me again.
