Blogging Tip: Do not Publish your Killer Post tomorrow
To attract visitors from search engines, bloggers are doing their best to make a killer post. This can also increase subscribers and regular followers. In fact, it is one of the strategies to increase traffic. However, a killer post can also kill itself if it is being posted at the wrong time.
No matter how good your writing skills are, only a few will be interested to read it. Even if you are optimizing your keywords, almost nobody will search about it. Bloggers do not even have to be an SEO expert to understand this. Even newspaper journalists are using this principle, every time a special event will occur.
Now, I suppose all of you are aware that tomorrow is the scheduled non-title bout - Manny Pacquiao vs Oscar dela Hoya which was dubbed as The Dream Fight. This boxing match is very popular, and is being much awaited. Filipinos, Mexicans, and even Americans are so excited to see this.
After all the controversies, interviews, and hard training, the two boxing warriors are now at Mandalay Bay just waiting for the bell. For sure, many of us cancelled their activities for tomorrow and watch the fight. Followers of each camp and boxing fans even spend money to be able to watch it with their very own eyes.
I also noticed that some Filipino bloggers even made a post that Manny Pacquiao has already won the fight. No, they are not liars. If you read their posts, they have two purposes. One is to motivate their fellow countrymen, and to increase their spirits as Pacquiao fans.
Another reason of course is Search Engine Optimization. They know that if Manny wins, their posts will have a greater possibility of being crawled first by search engines. Some of them even made a lot of related posts about it prior to the fight. This is a good blogging tip to follow, isn’t it?
With this, let us just hope to see a good fight. Good luck, Manny Pacquiao!

yan kasi ang pinaka the best na diskarte pagdating sa seo ng mga events at tv episodes in particular. kumbaga satin e advance ang pag-iisip!ahehehe!kelangan mo din kasi dayain ang mga nagsesearch sa title ng entry mo bago mo birahin ang totoo sa content mo. effective naman e!

This is what makes SEO interesting. Para kasing Nostra Damus ang dating ng mga SEO bloggers pagdating sa events. O di ba nakatsamba! I also did the spelling Dela Hoya to Dela Joya, effective naman at 2nd sia sa top post ko ngayon hehehe. Grabe ang adsense ko dito breaking the history hahaha.

what is a killer post? is it the quality of the post or the quality of the optimization that makes it rank higher in the search engines?
i agree about the importance of “timing.” but some sites are immediately picked up by the search engine crawlers. I made my pacquiao vs dela hoya prediction post late in September. and it did well in SERP, especially about prediction of the outcome. but it only got a few thousand visits.
