Did Your Children Really Enjoy Their Christmas Gifts?
Last Christmas may be a bit tight for most of us, as there are a lot of parents with tight budget. But still, we did everything just to please our kids by giving their favorite toys. Company advertisers did their best to promote their products to get the attention of our children. Some did it successfully, while some did not. Of course, the better advertising approach, the better.
However, there are questions that parents should answer after buying them. Did our kids really enjoy their Christmas gifts? If they did, how long do you think they will enjoy it? Is this really they want, or they were just amazed with the way it was shown on commercials? Will this affect their behavior? How about their time for school?
Below is a video of children while they are opening their presents. And boy, there were so happy and crazy with what they got. I have no specific idea on how to play with them. But for what I know, it is a computer game that requires time, focus, and attention. I am not just so sure if they will enjoy it for a long time. Nevertheless, I am sure that a new edition will be released sooner or later. Then, our kids will want to feel another excitement.
So what can I say about the video? Honestly speaking, for me it’s quite disturbing. Now, I am trying to be killjoy here. I always wonder how kids feel when they receive the toys they want. I did not feel that, ever. However, it is very important that kids will not rely solely on material things. As parents, it is our responsibility to make our kids happy. But happiness cannot be bought, neither excitement. Toys can make our kids happy, but isn’t it better that the happiness they feel will last forever?

Honestly, my son only enjoyed a few. Waterguns and the remote control cars given by his godparents do wonders to him nowadays.

Hello Father Blogger.
I don’t have kids yet so I can’t answer your question for sure. But I have a younger brother who did not receive a gift but he enjoyed Christmas anyway because the whole family did some traveling during the season.
enjoy naman xa kaso mas gusto nya talaga yung mag online games tsaka pmp lol hehe kaya yung mga kiddy stuff sandali lang nya nilaro tas back to normal online games lol
We gave ours sons each a cartridge for their gameboys and the little girl an inexpensive interactive alphabet laptop. And though they liked the toys at first, of course they lost interest as soon as they saw what their cousins got! They even asked me to get them a bubble maker toy that costs about P25 next Christmas, just because all the kids in the compound have one! Really with kids, its never about the price!
