I Now Own a Problogger Book

Yes, my dear readers. I now own a Problogger Book, and it is such a great honor to have one. Late last year, I proudly announced that I won a Problogger Book by sharing the Best Blogging Tip. It was from a contest at Kevin Muldoon’s forum. Kevin is the humble owner of Blogging Tips, who was kind enough to allow me to guest post on his blog for four times. Since then, my confidence in sharing blogging tips increased.

By the way, the judge was no less than the Problogger himself, Darren Rowse. It was such a privileged for me to be chosen. Actually, I already got the book some few months ago, but it is unfortunate that I have no time to read it thoroughly. My Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009

At long last, I have finally completed my list of Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009. Actually, I have been collecting blogs to be nominated some weeks ago. But since I am really very busy in the real world, I stopped for a bit. Then, I was surprised when learned that I am included in some lists, which is why I am very happy. It is definitely such an honor to be included, and thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.

By the way, this is the third part of Ms. Janette Toral’s project since 2007. It is her own little way of giving recognition to blogs whom readers think has a great impact on them. So with no further ado, here is my list. Read the rest of this entry »

Father Blogger was featured on Manila Bulletin

My apologies, as this is an overdue post. Last March of this year, Annalyn Jusay of Manila Bulletin send me an email inviting me to be interviewed by her. She has a column called Blog-O-Rama, and I read one of her interviews in the newspapers which happens to be with Reyna Elena. She send me some questions asking about my history in blogging, blogging tips that I can share especially to newbies, and other thoughts about blogging.

Of course, I did not think twice to accept the offer. Although I was too busy then, I prepared my answers and sent them to her immediately. But since I have no time to check my mails regularly, it never crossed my mind again. Read the rest of this entry »

Financial Crisis: How Our Children Can Help

It is obvious that financial crisis is still enjoying its stay, and we can only do our best not to worsen it. I must admit, I am among those who is still being greatly affected. After the Dengue tragedy to my wife and daughter last January, things got worst for us.

I am currently doing odd jobs and selling anything just to make ends meet. I wake up at 3:45am to sell Hot Pandesal, and then streetfood in the afternoon. I have been looking for a job for more than 5 months, but it seems that they are not yet attracted to me. My debts are increasing, and has been selling some of our valuable things including my PC.

However, I just cannot give up blogging especially that my blogging friends strongly suggested that I renew its hosting service. A lot of them offered support and eventually, Father Blogger is still alive and kicking. Read the rest of this entry »

Father Blogger: Still Alive and Kicking!

If you are a follower of this blog, you noticed that this blog has been parked since June 25 until yesterday. This is due to the expired domain and hosting. Actually, I never thought it will be up again since I am very busy offline and not sure when I will be into regular blogging again.

Anyway, a lot of blogging friends wanted me to continue it. Some of them even offered their help, in which I am very glad to know. I must admit, it really hurts a lot to accept that I cannot be online regularly. Blogging has been my passion for 2 years, and will always be. Read the rest of this entry »
