Children are precious gifts from our Creator and as they say, they are fruits of two couples in love. As others would say, a childless marriage cannot be called a family. However, there are people who are not born to enjoy this gift. This is really hard to accept especially for people who really want to have children.

But then, you love each other so much and all you wish for is to have a happy marriage. Apparently, some couples decided not to adopt a child but still were able to stay happy. So before another problem will affect your marriage, pause for a while and give time to consider some things.


Never blame your spouse

Nobody wants to be the unlucky one. You should be ready to accept your spouse if he or she cannot give you a child. Hurting words would not change a thing. After all, you would not like it if it was the other way around. Remember that it is in the darkest moments that you can prove how much you love your spouse. Leaving him or her is just being unfair. If you think doing so will make you feel better, think of what your spouse will feel.

Do not feel guilty

You are not alone. Do not think that having no ability to have a child is a burden to your marriage. Children are not the only reason why people marry, and there are a lot of childless marriages around just like yours but still survived. The fact that you love each other so much is good enough to have a happy marriage. Ironically, a childless marriage means that you have all the time to enjoy each other. A quite home can also be a happy home.

Cultivate other gifts

Having children is not the only reason why people are alive. Every one of us has a purpose in this world and you just have to discover it. The world has so many problems and contributing yourself by being an inspiration to others will be a big help. Not to mention that you may have other amazing talents that some parents do not have. There are a lot of children suffering from irresponsible parents that you can lend a helping hand.

Take it as a challenge

All of us have difficult challenges in life that we have to pass through, and not being able to have a child may be your share. Use this test to be a better person and spouse for that matter. Do not be afraid to grow old alone. After all, children are not required to take care of their old parents. The truth is, spouses should be the ones to take care of each other when they both grow old. That is true love.

Do not loose hope

Gifts are sometimes being delivered late and there are a lot of couples who had their first child after so many years of being married. Seek all possibilities and take all the chances. Pray hard, no matter what you believe in. If you overreacted to this problem, you might be blaming your self later for a wrong decision. There are things that are given in the proper time, without realizing it.

If you think you cannot survive in a childless marriage, think of people who survived even without someone to love.
