After more than 2 years of blogging, I can say that I am still far from being an expert. However, I think I can already share some of my knowledge and experience on how to promote a blog especially for beginners. This is also with the help of the blogs I read as well as from the Darren Rowse’ Problogger Book which I won from a contest.
But I must remind you that promoting a blog effectively does not necessary mean that you will make good money, not unless you treat your blog as a business. Nevertheless, most high traffic blogs are making good money from advertisers and Google Adsense.
Since this topic is very wide, I decided to make it a 3-part post and here is Part One. This post might be long for you but I will try to explain each item as simple as possible. Read more of this >>

Yes, my dear readers. I now own a Problogger Book, and it is such a great honor to have one. Late last year, I proudly announced that I won a Problogger Book by sharing the Best Blogging Tip. It was from a contest at Kevin Muldoon’s forum. Kevin is the humble owner of Blogging Tips, who was kind enough to allow me to guest post on his blog for four times. Since then, my confidence in sharing blogging tips increased.
By the way, the judge was no less than the Problogger himself, Darren Rowse. It was such a privileged for me to be chosen. Actually, I already got the book some few months ago, but it is unfortunate that I have no time to read it thoroughly. In most cases, there is a black sheep in the family or someone is most likely going to be. Actually, there are a lot of reasons for this problem and one of them could be having a lot of children in the family. However, this is not always true as this can also happen even if you only have two children.
Jealousy is the primary reason why a child can be a black sheep someday, which is why parents should be sensitive about this. Some children are good in hiding it that makes it a more serious problem. Inspire others, and be useful to them. This is the best strategy so far, even better than search engines and all the social sites you can find.
This is my official entry to Kevin Muldoon’s contest held recently on his Blogging Tips forum, in which the judge was no less than the Problogger himself, Darren Rowse. The contest was quite simple though. Contestants were asked to share his best blogging tip in 140 characters or less.
So what now if I won? Well, the Problogger book may be old to some but still is ageless to me. It was launched last April of this year, with Chris Garrett as the co-author. It has a wide collection of blogging tips of the Problogger, which include the following topics. Read more of this >>

Visitors are the life of our blogs and without them, we are nothing. All of us are trying our best to have visitors especially the unique ones. Some are even spending money just to invite them. But what good is a visitor if he is just passing by? If you are an Entrecard member, you do not want to have plain droppers, don’t you? In addition, your bounce rate will be very high. So if you think you are not convincing them, here are some of my ideas that may help.
Inspire them
It is not enough that you give them what they need. Unlike portals, blogs should contain more than just useful information. Note that most blogs are made by simple individuals and visitors are expecting to learn from others point of view. This is not an easy task because each visitor has different taste. You must find their weak points. Sharing your success stories on your blog with humility is a good example. It is easy to remember someone who can inspire us. Read more of this >>
