Anyone can cook – this is the belief of the great chef Gusteau that inspired Remy, the rat that has unique talent in sniffing and tasting good food and eventually became a little chef. The video clip below will remind about the award-winning film Ratatouille.

Actually, this is the latter part, in which I liked the most. This is the scene where the famous food critic Anton Ego announced his good review about the food he tasted, even if he knew that Remy “cooked” it.

It is a fact that there are top bloggers who are much superior to us. They have placed themselves in a safe pedestal where we can always look up to. They are the icons of this industry and gained a lot of respect from fellow bloggers. While there is no need to mention names as we already know who they are, it is interesting to know that we can still socialize with them in spite of their high status.

Last October 25, I attended a blogging event – DigitalFilipino.com Club and Bloggers Manila Networking Event at the Casino Filipino, Parañaque City, Philippines. This event was sponsored by PAGCOR, and upon the invitation of Janette Toral of Blogging from Home. As I have mentioned in my invitation post on my other blog, this free event was organized by DigitalFilipino.com Club.

Although the venue was around 68 kilometers from our place, and the event was scheduled until 11pm, I did not hesitate to come. It was a great honor to meet fellow Filipino bloggers for the first time, especially those who became my virtual friends. Visitors are the life of our blogs and without them, we are nothing. All of us are trying our best to have visitors especially the unique ones. Some are even spending money just to invite them. But what good is a visitor if he is just passing by? If you are an Entrecard member, you do not want to have plain droppers, don’t you? In addition, your bounce rate will be very high. So if you think you are not convincing them, here are some of my ideas that may help.

Inspire them

It is not enough that you give them what they need. Unlike portals, blogs should contain more than just useful information. Note that most blogs are made by simple individuals and visitors are expecting to learn from others point of view. This is not an easy task because each visitor has different taste. Making good money out of blogging may be the most popular topic one can find, and there are hundreds or even thousand bloggers who are teaching us how to do it. But why are we not achieving it?

If you will notice, I used the term we since I am also in the same situation. So if you expecting me to give you some good sites to join in, sorry I cannot share one right now although I know some. My name is Angel and here is how I write it in English, A-n-g-e-l. It is very simple, isn’t it? But how about writing it in Arabic? Well, you can see it on the image shown on the left side of this post. But since I do not know Arabic, how in the world did I learn it?

Write about general chat

If you are active on forums like me, you may be browsing the General Chat sub-forum. You may not be visiting it since you think most of the posts are useless, and you are right. You might think it is just a waste of time reading them, but not really. In fact, majority of them have longer threads than those who are talking about SEO and blogging.
