A Parent Call: Hungry US Children are increasing
It is very rare that I will be posting current news on my blog, and this is one of them. Myself being a former street child, I know how a hungry child feels. This news should be a good call to US President-elect Barack Obama, that he has a lot of things to do.
According to the latest CNN News, hungry US children increased nearly to 700,000 last year 2007. Consequently, close to 12.5% or 1 out of 8 Americans are not being able to feed themselves well enough. This is even before the country’s economy went down. A scary prediction was made by James Weill, Food and Research and Action Center president. He feels that the data will most likely to increase next year due to obvious reasons – drastic fall of economy.
