It’s been almost 2 weeks since I started selling toy balloons in front of Jollibee Lipa Bayan, and I am not ashamed to admit it. Although of course, I am hopeful that I still can find a better source of income. But for now, I am enjoying what I do especially when I see the sweet smiles of the children after their parents buy them.

However, I am sadden with the negative reactions of some fellow parents. It’s not that they did not buy, but it’s how they deny their child’s request. Unfortunately, we are sometimes not conscious with our attitude and don’t realize that it will have a great effect on our children. Here they are and I hope you’re not one of them. As they say, boys will always be boys. However, it is sad to know that some of them do not treat women nicely. They even think that women were created as toys and sex objects. We must admit that our teenage boys can be a notorious maniac someday.

Therefore, we as parents should teach them how to grow to be the best gentlemen they can be, and that women are as important as they are. As a father of a 7-year old boy, here are some of my tips that I hope you find useful. Read the rest of this entry »
