About a year ago, I made a post with almost the same title. Now, I am just glad to announce that Father Blogger is still alive and kicking again. Yes, my blog expired again just like year, and I was not able to renew it on time.

That time, I had no regular job and my Paypal was empty. Fortunately, some blogging friends helped me until a fellow Filipino blogger paid for the domain and hosting. I was even surprised when my blog was voted as one of the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009.

First of all, I would like to say thank you to Ms. Janette Toral for uploading this video and to Roy of The Struggling Blogger for sharing the link to me. Anyway, this video is my speech last Saturday when my blog Father Blogger dot Com was chosen as one of the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009.

The first part contains all the gratitude to those who helped me when my wife and daughter had Dengue fever. The second part explained my history in blogging, how I started, and all the hardships it encountered. This includes the extended support of my fellow Filipino bloggers to renew its domain and hosting service.

As much as I want to be humble, I cannot help myself to be proud as Father Blogger dot com was chosen as one of the Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs of 2009 which was organized by Ms. Janet Toral last Saturday. The event was held at PAGCOR, Paranaque City, Philippines.

The dinner was wonderful and the ambiance was energetic. I met the older ones, and fresh faces as well. Although I was quite sad, since my partner Mon was not around as well as Jenaisle. Anyway, each of us was awarded with a plaque and a 5-minute speech opportunity. Read the rest of this entry »

At long last, I have finally completed my list of Top 10 Emerging Influential Blogs for 2009. Actually, I have been collecting blogs to be nominated some weeks ago. But since I am really very busy in the real world, I stopped for a bit. Then, I was surprised when learned that I am included in some lists, which is why I am very happy. It is definitely such an honor to be included, and thank you very much from the bottom of my heart.

By the way, this is the third part of Ms. Janette Toral’s project since 2007. It is her own little way of giving recognition to blogs whom readers think has a great impact on them. So with no further ado, here is my list. Read the rest of this entry »

My apologies, as this is an overdue post. Last March of this year, Annalyn Jusay of Manila Bulletin send me an email inviting me to be interviewed by her. She has a column called Blog-O-Rama, and I read one of her interviews in the newspapers which happens to be with Reyna Elena. She send me some questions asking about my history in blogging, blogging tips that I can share especially to newbies, and other thoughts about blogging.

Of course, I did not think twice to accept the offer. Although I was too busy then, I prepared my answers and sent them to her immediately. But since I have no time to check my mails regularly, it never crossed my mind again. Read the rest of this entry »
