Since I am a licensed engineer, this post is very close to my heart. More than a decade ago, I am struggling so hard to pass different mathematics related subjects which include Algebra, Trigonometry, and the ever mind-blowing Calculus. I still remember those sleepless nights memorizing difficult formulas, and the movies my classmates and I missed just to practice problem solving.

But today where technologies are more advance and information are easier to get, students now have a lot of choices to study mathematics and Online math tutoring is one of them. Shopping online seem to be a wise decision these days. Besides the fact that we now have a lot of choices, they are affordable too. These sites have improved themselves dramatically, and discovered different ways to help their customers especially to parents with little children. While there are online shop sites that offer baby clothes and accessories only, there are only a few of them that has a complete line for active babies and toddlers.

Last time, my daughter left a comment on my post while doing her homework in a Internet Cafe. However, I told her it would not be possible since she used a different username. But when I checked it the next day, it was valid and I gladly approved it. When I fetched her from school, I apologized to her and her classmate was surprised as if her parents never said sorry to her.

Committing mistakes is common to human, and being a parent is not an excuse. But unfortunately, some parents don’t say sorry to their children. I don’t know their reasons for not doing so, but I still respect them. Maybe they think that they are superior, or because of pride, or maybe they are not used to it since childhood. First of all, preparing to run for president of the Philippines in 2010 is not what’s keeping me from blogging for more than a month. There were just so many things that I should attend to, and they cannot wait.

Anyway, my daughter’s nickname is also Angel who happens to be nominated as class president in her high school freshman class. Although I have never been elected as a class officer during my school days, I know how hard is to be one. Facebook is one of the most popular social sites today, I should say. And now, there is a site called Facebook for Parents. Site owners BJ Fogg and Linda Fogg Philips are offering a free four-part class for parents to learn more about Facebook. Parents with children under 18 years old and who also have an account at Facebook are being invited to receive their newsletters for free.

Recently, New York Times author Lisa Belkin shares the five-step process on how to join Facebook for Parents and how parents can make friends with their children; as well as to check the profile of their friends. It cannot be denied that the world crisis is now being felt by almost all of us and according to experts; this can be just the beginning and the worst is yet to come. Whether you are parent or a high school student who will graduate this coming March, choosing a college course seems to be scary in this time of crisis. Colleges and universities are now inclined to a bigger tuition fee increase.

Local student groups are now waiting for the result, while Commission on Higher Education (CHED) is still talking (requesting, rather) with different regional school directors – public and private. If you are recently watching the news, you already heard about this – random drug test for Filipino high school students. This is the program of the Philippine government through the Department of Health to help the fight against illegal drugs. It is known that high school students are among the top favorite of drug lords and their evil forces. Actually, this program is not new to us. This RDT (Random Drug Test) started since 2003.

However this time, only a few percentages were done which is comparatively low as compared from the recent years. Some President Arroyo’s critics may say that this is just a reaction since the case of Alabang Boys drug trafficking case is now hitting her administration.
