After more than 2 years of blogging, I can say that I am still far from being an expert. However, I think I can already share some of my knowledge and experience on how to promote a blog especially for beginners. This is also with the help of the blogs I read as well as from the Darren Rowse’ Problogger Book which I won from a contest.

But I must remind you that promoting a blog effectively does not necessary mean that you will make good money, not unless you treat your blog as a business. Nevertheless, most high traffic blogs are making good money from advertisers and Google Adsense.

But the worst thing that can happen is that they are getting few, and you cannot force them to stay. One thing is for sure, you are doing some things that your subscribers do not like. As a blog subscriber myself, here are some of the main factors that stops me from subscribing.

Long and boring posts

While it is alright to write long posts, they should not be boring. On the contrary, they must be more interesting as they are reading it. This is where your creativity comes in. If you want to write long posts, learn how to minimize grammatical errors and avoid useless words and phrases. Be straight in what you want to say.
